Terms and Conditions

At Hook Lodge, we strive to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable and, wherever possible, will be sympathetic to your personal requirements. If at any point during your stay, or prior to your stay, you have any requests or issues we will certainly work with you to ensure they can be sorted. Before your stay, please read our Terms and Conditions below and if you have any questions or queries we are always here to help. We seek to continually improve our service to our guests so if you have any feedback do let us know.

Pet friendly?

Unfortunately, we do not offer pet friendly rooms.

Family friendly?

We are adult-only accommodation. As we would like to provide a quiet morning for those trying to catch up on sleep or perhaps the evening time some guests may wish to enjoy a few drinks, it is not a suitable environment for persons under the age of 18.

No Smoking Policy

Hook Lodge is 100% smoke-free. Smoking is not permitted in any part of the building. Should it be brought to our attention that smoking has taken place, a cleaning fee of €200 will be imposed.

Lost Keys

A charge of €25 will be taken in the event of a lost key. This covers the change of lock and the cost of a new key.

Lost Property

We are more than happy to post any lost items subject to the costs of postage. Due to the high volume of lost property we reserve the right to give to charity or dispose of lost property if it is unclaimed six weeks from the date of departure.

Damages

We reserve the right to charge your credit or debit card for any damage done to your room during your stay or for any items that are missing when you leave.

Booking Policy

To make a reservation we require a prepayment of 50% of the total booking fee (the “deposit”). In the event that we cannot debit this deposit from your card, then such reservation shall be null and void. The outstanding 50% of the booking fee can be paid by card or cash on the date of departure.

When you (either on your behalf or on behalf of others) make a booking you confirm that you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (and confirm that those you are making the booking on behalf of are also agreeing to be bound by these Terms and Conditions). When your booking has been made and the deposit has been paid, a confirmation will be sent to you your email address used during the booking process. Please check the details of your confirmation thoroughly and contact us immediately if any of the details are incorrect or incomplete. We will always try to correct any mistakes or accommodate any changes you want to make. However, we cannot accept liability for any inaccuracies, errors or omissions that are not notified to us immediately.

All room bookings are allocated by Hook Lodge however if you would like to book a specific room please contact us directly at time of booking to check if your request is available. 

Check-in and Check-out

Check in is from 3pm5pm and Check out is 11.00am. Balance of payment is required in full at the end of your stay here in Hook Lodge, and all bills need to be paid on check out.

Cancellation Policy

Individuals:

As we cannot easily replace cancellations at short notice, we offer a 14 day booking cancellation policy for bookings. This means that if you cancel 14 days prior to the arrival date the 50% deposit is fully refundable. If the booking is cancelled within the 14 days, the deposit is non-refundable. If the booking is cancelled 48 hours before arrival date the total reservation amount will be fully charged. This will also apply for our guests that don’t show up.

Group Bookings:

When Hook Lodge has been fully booked by one client we offer a 21 day booking cancellation: if you cancel 21 days prior to the arrival date the 50% deposit is fully refundable. If the booking is cancelled within the 21 days, the deposit is non-refundable. If the booking is cancelled 7 days before the arrival date the total  amount will be fully charged. This will apply to groups that don’t show up.

Here at Hook Lodge we endeavour to do our best to accommodate your room choice, however as you will appreciate, it may not always be possible to do this and on those occasions, you agree that Hook Lodge has final direction in relation to this.

Room Occupancy 

All our rooms take a maximum of 2 guests. There is a financial penalty liable if a third guest has stayed without the owners knowledge.

Rates and Payment

All our rates at Hook Lodge are quoted in Euros and and are valid for one room and one night (including VAT at the appropriate rate). Please note that all of our rates are subject to availability and alteration. Special offers/promotions are only valid for certain periods and subject to availability, conditions and restrictions listed either on this webpage or on the specific webpage relating to that offer with exclusion dates. Rates quoted may be subject to a minimum night stay. We accept payments via most major credit/debit card or cash.

Breakfast Times

We do our best to be as flexible as possible with our guest’s breakfast times so they can schedule their day ahead; we can provide hot and cold breakfast options as early as 7.30am right up to 10.00am. Anytime after 10am breakfasts will not be available unless agreed directly with the owners.

Disabled-Friendly

We are a disabled-friendly boutique bed and breakfast but we are not fully disabled-furnished. If you need more information or wish to discuss your personal requirements, please don’t hesitate to give us a call.

General

While every effort has been made to ensure accuracy of all information contained within this website, we do not accept liability for any inaccuracies, errors or omissions and shall have no obligation to honour reservations or information affected by such inaccuracies. We reserve the right to change information at any time without notice.

A force majeure event means any circumstance which is not within our control and we could not foresee or avoid, including (without limitation) the destruction or damage of your accommodation (which cannot reasonably be remedied to a satisfactory standard before the start of your stay), fire, flood, explosion, storm or other weather damage, collapse of buildings, interruption or failure of utility service, break-in, criminal damage, government action, riots or civil strife, industrial action, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, war or threat of war, actual or threatened terrorist activity, epidemic and all similar situations. It is explicitly agreed that if an event of force majeure event occurs, we at Hook Lodge shall not be liable and do not accept responsibility for any compensation to you or for any loss to you in these circumstances. In this unfortunate situation, we will offer an alternative date for your stay with us.
